I know colonization did a lot of fucked up things, but I think anyone with a brain can appreciate the fact that the British stealing artefacts preserved some incredible things.
They should return things if the countries they took them from are stable (and have been asking them back for years). But if it’s somewhere from the middle east for example, it would be stupid to return it – a statue would be destroyed the next time a wave of islamic terrorists occupy a region of it to stop ‘idol worshipping’ or whatever stupid BS they think they’re doing.

The Taliban asked that food be given to the poor in exchange for archeologists’ access to the statues. They refused to help the starving so they said no one can have access and destroyed it.
